How do I use a Salt Contamination Meter?

	Fill the syringe with 1.6ml of pure distilled water. Note: the deviation due to the use of non-pure water (up to 2μg/cm²) can be corrected automatically by the instrument (Offset).
	Using tweezers, remove a filter paper from the pack and place it on the clean, unmarked surface of the magnetic disc. Spread the water from the syringe evenly over the surface of the filter paper and press out any bubbles under the paper.
	Place the magnetic disc holding the moistened paper face down on the test area; press firmly on all contours and irregularities, then start the instrument timer for 2 minutes. Start the instrument timer. During the waiting time, you can prepare other samples.
	After 2 minutes, carefully remove the filter paper and magnetic disc from the test surface and place them on the measuring electrodes.
	Close the lid and check that the magnetic closure is firmly in place. The measurement is automatically displayed and stored in the machine's memory along with the paper size, temperature, date and time.
	Place the filter paper in a resealable bag (supplied) for later analysis if necessary.
