Elcometer 130 SSP Soluble Salt Profiler

CT_EL_GB_E130-SP | Elcometer

The Elcometer 130 Soluble Salts Profiler enables the level and density of soluble salts to be measured quickly and accurately - it is 4 times faster than other Bresle equivalence methods.

The new Elcometer 130 Soluble Salt Profiler enables a test equivalent to the Bresle method to be carried out in just over two minutes.

Multi-point conductivity sensors enable the Elcometer 130 SSP to accurately display salt concentration and indicate the exact area of contamination through 2D or 3D colour mapping of salt density.

"The equivalent of 4 measures of Bresle in 2 minutes 30".

Each filter paper is the size of four patches of Bresle. The Elcometer 130 Soluble Salt Meter displays an individual measurement, but also gives 4 Bresle equivalent measurements in just over two minutes.

"The new Elcometer 130 SSP is not just a soluble salts meter".

In addition to the soluble salt content (cleanliness) or conductivity, the Elcometer 130 SSP performs a detailed analysis of the area under test, drawing a map of the salt density profile and highlighting areas of high contamination outside the user-defined limits.

"Accurate in any environment

The new Elcometer 130 SSP is very easy to use and has an automatic temperature compensation function that ensures accuracy despite climatic conditions. Impure water can be compensated for for accurate and repeatable measurements.

"Built to last

Robust, durable and water resistant, the new Elcometer 130 SSP comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty for added peace of mind.

"Create reports instantly on your PC or Android™ or iOS mobile"

The Elcometer 130 SSP allows non-contact measurements, statistics and batches to be transferred via Bluetooth® or USB directly into an inspection app, ElcoMaster® or the Elcometer Mobile app. Reports are created immediately from your office, or on site using your mobile phone.

How the collected data is handled is as important as the data collection itself.

"Calibration check - peace of mind"

A Verification Gauge is available to check the accuracy of the gauge on site, and the date of verification is recorded and included in the inspection report.

Verification shims are available to check the accuracy of the gauge.

Key features of the Elcometer 130 Soluble Salts Profiler:

Measurement Modes :

Cleanliness: two measurement options available for soluble salts - Bresle Method Equivalence or Elcometer 130 Equivalence

Conductivity: ideal for measuring ionic contaminants, sometimes called Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), within a solution.

Multi-point conductivity sensor allows conductivity trend to be displayed as density mapping

Automatic temperature compensation for accurate results

Large colour LCD displays values in µg/cm², ppm, µS/cm, mS/cm, % salinity or mg/m².

Storage capacity of 3,500 values in 1,000 batches

Stainless steel gold-plated contacts ensure long life and high performance

Data transfer via USB or Bluetooth® to ElcoMaster® for instant reporting

Display modes

Screen with large characters

The value is displayed for the entire sample.

Écran avec grands caractères

La valeur est affichée pour l'ensemble de l'échantillon.

Accept/Reject function based on user-defined limits

Visual representation of salt contamination. Areas with soluble salt levels above the set limit are coloured red, those below are coloured white. The bar to the left of the Good/Bad mapping indicates the limit (above the bar) as well as the percentage of the test area above the defined limit (below the bar). The bar is also a visual indication of the Good/Bad percentage. The Max (Hi), Min (Lo) and Average (X) values for the current measurement are shown on the right.

2D salt density map with High/Low values

Soluble salt levels are represented by a green-red colour scale: green for very low salt concentrations or uncontaminated areas, orange for areas with medium concentrations, and red for areas where contamination levels exceed the scale range defined for the map.

3D salt density profile with salt concentration peaks

Visual representation of the density of salt contamination in the test area.

How to use the Elcometer 130 SSP Soluble Salt Profiler

Put on clean disposable gloves (supplied) and fill a syringe with exactly 1.6 ml of pure distilled water.2. Using tweezers, remove a filter paper from the pack and place it on the clean, unmarked surface of the magnetic disc.3. Spread the water from the syringe evenly over the entire surface of the filter paper and remove any bubbles under the paper.
4. Place the magnetic disc holding the moistened paper face down on the test area; press firmly on all contours and irregularities, then start the timer for 2 minutes.5. After 2 minutes, carefully remove the filter paper and magnetic disc from the test surface and place them on the measuring electrodes.6. Because each filter paper remains on the surface for 2 minutes, it is possible to carry out several tests at the same time, thereby reducing inspection time.
c6. Comme chaque papier filtre reste 2 minutes sur la surface, il est possible d'effectuer plusieurs tests en même temps, ce qui réduit le temps d'inspection.8. The value appears on the screen in the selected display mode.9. Place the filter paper in a resealable bag (supplied) for later analysis if necessary.
