Spécifications
Built to go anywhere
The TOPAZ16 is compact and lightweight in a robust, vent-free aluminium housing. The all-metal casing improves durability and heat transfer efficiency. What's more, the unit weighs just 4.5 kilograms (10 pounds).
With a state-of-the-art operating temperature range, a 264-millimetre (10.4-inch) high-resolution touch screen and hot-swappable batteries, the TOPAZ16 is designed to meet a wide range of inspection demands, whatever the environment.
The TOPAZ16 portable 16-channel phased array is available in two versions:
16/64 - Up to 16 active channels for up to 64 probes.
16/128 - Up to 16 active channels for a maximum of 128 probes for enhanced inspection capabilities.
Powered by UltraVision software
The TOPAZ16 includes this powerful software on board. Benefit from a single software platform for the entire Zetec UT product family, saving valuable training time and achieving new levels of synergy between systems. Benefit from powerful features, including :
Integrated advanced focal law calculator with visual feedback.
Integrated measurement and volumetric fusion tools
Interactive help integrated into the instrument
Remote control capabilities.
Increased productivity
Since its launch in 2013, the award-winning TOPAZ family of ultrasonic instruments has always been synonymous with portable productivity. The TOPAZ16 is no different with best-in-class features including:
Temperature operating range You can take full advantage of the TOPAZ16's full power from -10 to 45 degrees Celsius (14 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit). Add the optional fan kit and the TOPAZ16 operates in environments up to 53 degrees Celsius (127 degrees Fahrenheit). The TOPAZ16 is designed to meet your specific needs, whatever the environment.
264mm/10.4" high resolution multi-touch screen The TOPAZ16 features a very large and responsive touch screen that not only offers high resolution but also one of the largest screen-to-space ratios on the instrument. With the TOPAZ16, you can see more data more clearly, whether indoors or out.
High signal quality With up to 800% digitisation and 16-bit amplitude resolution, the TOPAZ16 delivers the signal quality you need with less risk of saturation.
Multi-probe and multi-group support The TOPAZ16 simplifies weld inspections with the optional probe separator accessory.
Unrivalled value
TOPAZ16 offers great value in a small format. From preparation to reporting, TOPAZ16 is the complete solution. This fully integrated, streamlined approach can reduce the amount of equipment needed to perform an inspection.
A fully integrated inspection process
TOPAZ16 can handle all stages of an inspection process, helping to reduce costs through the following elements:
Preparation: The specimen editor and focal law calculator simplify set-up.
Acquisition: TOPAZ16 has the features to enable a highly efficient data acquisition process.
Analysis: A complete suite of basic and advanced tools for more efficient analysis.
Reports: TOPAZ16 is ready to print standard or custom reports with a single click.
Simplified configuration with Zetec scanners and probes
Getting started with TOPAZ16 couldn't be easier. When a Zetec scanner, such as the award-winning NDT PaintBrush, Weld Crawler or probe, is connected, TOPAZ16 can automatically recognise and pre-configure the inspection sequence accordingly, saving valuable time. More flexibility to meet your needs:
Multiple scan configurations: sector, linear and compound.
Dedicated UT channel: a separate conventional UT channel provides a 200 V pulser and operates in P/E or P/C configurations for TOFD analysis.
Fast, secure data transfer: The TOPAZ16 features an internal SSD hard disk drive for fast, reliable data transfer and storage during operation.
Plenty of connectivity options: The TOPAZ16 has the connectivity options you need and includes a USB 3.0 port (offering 10 times the speed of USB 2.0), two USB 2.0 ports, Gigabyte LAN, HDMI, as well as a UT channel and a UT PA connector.
IPEX and ZPAC connector options available.
