Berthold Cross, Matcon

The Berthold cross can be used to check the compliance of electromagnets with the lift-off test, with 2 90° slots allowing the orientation and intensity of the magnetic field generated on the surface of the part to be inspected to be visualised.

It can be used to check the detectability of defects according to their orientation (longitudinal/transverse) depending on the direction of the magnetic field.
