Radiation meter

RS_SE_US_RANGER

The Ranger Radiameter offers maximum performance in a lightweight and robust nuclear radiation detector for on-site or field surveys. Although designed for industrial environments, it still retains all the features you love in the laboratory.

The Ranger Radiameter is a compact portable digital measuring device that offers excellent sensitivity to low levels of alpha, beta, gamma, and X-rays.

This model has built-in efficiencies for common isotopes to calculate activity in Bq and DPM. The Ranger also features a backlit digital display, a red counting light, and an audible beep that sounds with each detected count. Other features include selectable alert levels, an adjustable timer, and an optional wipe test plate for scans.

The internal memory and free Observer USB software allow you to download your data and set computer alarms. With the Free Radiation Alert® Observer BLE app from the Google App Store, you can view your detector readings on your Android device, label sample readings and descriptions, perform timed counts, add GPS data, and send your saved survey file. Alarms set on the instrument will also trigger on your Android device.

The Free Observer USB software (Windows® only) reads total counts, CPM, µR/h, mR/h, CPS, µSv/h, and has the ability to collect and record data, set alarms, define timed counts, set date and calibration parameters, and generate reports.

Applications and uses: surveys for NORM (naturally occurring radioactive materials) contamination, raw cloth counting, package, equipment, and personnel contamination surveys, regulatory inspections, scrap metal screening, detection of low-energy radionuclides.

Anti-saturation

The counter will hold at OVER RANGE in fields as high as 100 times the maximum reading

Averaging periods

The display updates every 3 seconds.

At low background levels, the update is the average of the last 30 seconds.

The averaging time decreases as the radiation level increases.

Outputs

Bluetooth: use with the free Observer BLE application for Android.

Counting the light

The red LED flashes every time a radiation event occurs.

Audio indicator

Internally mounted horn (can be switched off for quiet operation)
