Remote-Field Array (RFA)

The new RFA probe family enhances inspection and analysis performance by adding high-resolution C-scan and increased data coverage closer than ever to external features. The RFA probe design combines a high-density coil array with conventional coils featuring two drivers. Every detail has been taken into account, evident with new centering devices located at both ends of the probe to maintain constant liftoff and provide better signal response quality.

Ectane sets the standard for advanced electromagnetic tube and surface inspections. Offering a wide range of frequencies from 5 Hz to 10 MHz, eight channel inputs, and up to 32 time intervals, the instrument can tackle a wide range of applications. Modular in design, the 11 models of Ectane 3 are scalable and can be retrofitted to meet your inspection needs. The unit is available in three different array configurations: 64, 128, or 256 elements with support for 10 technologies.

High-resolution C-scan imaging provides better information on defect morphology. Magnifi 5 Version 5.1 of Magnifi software incorporates dedicated tools for RFA inspections, including, but not limited to, a step-by-step configuration wizard for probes, dedicated calibration tools for linking conventional and C-scan signals, and support for impedance and voltage plane display for ABS channels. In addition, it incorporates the AI-ECT 2.0 module for ECT detection of defects under support plates.
